Details: Monarda's aromatic, upright foliage is a delight in the garden. Early summer brings rosettes of yellowish, purple-spotted, tubular flower spikes nestled in large, purple-tinged bracts. It’s loaded with nectar for hummingbirds and butterflies, irresistible pollen for native bees. Plant prefers sandy soils with consistent moisture. Remove spent flowers to improve plant appearance.
