Details: When you want an evergreen statement, usually, you’d like it as quickly as possible. Sasquatch Dark Green arborvitae can help. It grows faster than many other options thanks to the few cones it produces from year to year. It’s able to focus its energy on growing instead. And when it does, you’ll get to enjoy its uniform shape, little pruning is ever necessary. As a North American native species, it’s very cold-hardy. However, we observed that this selection is even more cold-tolerant than what we typically see. For gardens in extremely chilly places, you’ve finally got the evergreen of your dreams!

Growing Tips: Plant in full sun (6+ hrs/day) to part sun (4-6 hrs/day) with any well drained soil, but avoid soggy/wet areas. Needs average water with little fertilizing required. No pruning is necessary, but it may be trimmed to shape in late spring after new growth emerges.
