Details: Veronicastrum virginicum ‘Album’ in midsummer tall wands of while flowers open from the bottom up and resemble candelabras. Blooms last for a month and are lovely in flower arrangements; the flowers are visited by butterflies, a variety if bee populations, moths, wasps, and Syrphid fly. You can also cut back the foliage after flowering to promote fresh growth. Tough, long-lasting, and easy to grow, Culver ’s Root requires little care and is disease resistant.
Interesting Fact: The most common visitor to the flowers are long and short tongued bees, which collect pollen and nectar.
