- Plant is delivered direct from our nursery in a 2-gallon trade pot. It is fully rooted in the soil and can be planted immediately upon arrival, weather permitting. Details: PIERIS JAPONICA `DOROTHY WYCOFF` An even darker-leaved form than 'Compacta', this variety's distinctly red winter flower bud color and pale pink blossoms from late March to mid-April make it stand out. Very hardy and deer-resistant. Grow Tips Likes well-drained, moist soil and mulch. Prune immediately after flowering in late spring by cutting branches to just above a set of leaves. Protect from winter winds.
